Dare 42

42. The answer to life, the universe and everything AND the number of our latest dare. This week it is another journalling focussed challenge (because we all LOVE journalling!) and we have a cool prize on offer too. Digitalscrapbookplace.com have generously donated a coupon for one of their fabulous downloadable CDS. They have a huge range of themes, including computer crafts and card making (for those who might not want to go digi for scrapbooking).

And here is this week's dare:
Scrap a story from your childhood.
If you can't think of one, ask your parents, siblings, friends! Don't worry if you don't have photos, there are all kinds of ways around this. Use photos taken around that time, photograph an object that is important in the story, use a photo taken today that reminds you of something from your own past. Or make a page without a photo at all! Write a lot or write a little - but tell those stories! Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Post a link to your layout in the comments when you're done or send it via email to Lianne at RANDLGRAY@xtra.co.nz. The Deadline for this dare is Wednesday 9th April 6pm.

Here are our ones:

Our guest designer this week is Bronny Bugden who did this awesome layout about a childhood friend:

Sharon - my close encounter with a coin of the realm:

Lesley tells a hilarious story about her brothers:
Lianne - I realised today while looking through my old photos that I have alot of childhood stories to tell my kids, it's easy to tell them but even better to write them down, so I decided I am going to scrap more childhood memories. Thanks Sharon for such a great dare.

Vicky....My head was burtsing with ideas but this is the photo that got me, Me and my Poppa, at the roof shout for our new house, one of my earliest memories...for me, this is the point of scrapbooking, so our stories, how ever small, arent forgotten :)

Donna

My story is about Dad losing his watch haymaking one December. It was nowhere to be found and assumed lost + quite a big deal as watches were expensive back then! The following September he uncovered it in the hayshed, wound it up and away it went!

Trina

My story is one of regret. How being a silly little girl I refused to get in a photo and now wish I had. I don't have that many photos of Grandad and I, so its one of those lost moments. However, on the flip side at least I know I was there.

Monique....life is full of little memory triggers....

Rachel - nothing like remembering those teenage years (even if only felt like yesterday.....lol)!! Mines about my first holiday away with NO adults, 3 tents + 7 friends fresh out of 7th form! It sure was crazy FUN!!

Dare # 41

OK here it is. I have recently discovered Kobi Yamada quotes esp the ones from the 'She' book, here's a link to a list of them.

I think they are so inspirational.
I made this canvas for my new scraproom wall and I thought OMG that would be so cool for my dare. I hope you love them as much as me. Use one on a LO, a canvas, an altered item, anything, just be inspired by them.
I chose my quote because I was looking for something that I could look at and it would remind me to just be me.
